Stories of Service - interactive soundscape for the Armed Forces Day National Event 2022

As part of the Armed Forces Day National Event community outreach programme, we have been working with veterans to share their stories as part of an interactive sound walk. Each of the interviewees is responding to questions poised by local schoolchildren, and gives a unique insight into life in the armed forces and what it is like to be a veteran in the 21st Century.

Simply start the walk, and you can listen to the reflections and stories of our veterans as you explore the coast.

This project has been commissioned by Scarborough Borough Council.

Animated Objects Theatre Company - 'The Odyssey - An Epic Adventure on the Yorkshire Coast'

Immerse yourself in the reimagined world of ancient Gods and heroic warriors from Homer's classic tales with geolocation sound trails, stories, and interactive soundscapes created as part of 'The Odyssey - An Epic Adventure on the Yorkshire Coast'. These are part of a wide ranging community engagement project along the length of the Yorkshire Coast, and are written to run alongside a number of live events and exhibitions as part of this project. Recorded during lockdown and featuring the voices and musical talents of storytellers, performers and musicians from along the coast. Look out for future releases coming soon!
