ENGLISH - About the work

ARTIST: ŁUKASZ JASTRUBCZAK - (Laguna Foundation)

A composition of field recordings realised on the Kenyan coast around the town of Kilifi.. The area is located very close to the equator, at the Indian Ocean. All sounds were collected between 2019 and 2021 while I was working as curator on the “Duos Festival” - a project of cooperation between Polish and Kenyan artists, and realised with the support of the “Transcultural Perspectives in Art and Art Education” research grant.

I wish to mix this composition that represents the complex sonic ecosystem of Kilifi Creek with the complex ecosystem of Lübbenau/Spreewald.

KÜNSTLER: ŁUKASZ JASTRUBCZAK - (Laguna Foundation)

Eine Zusammenstellung von Feldaufnahmen, die an der kenianischen Küste rund um die Stadt Kilifi entstanden sind. Das Gebiet liegt sehr nahe am Äquator, am Indischen Ozean. Alle Klänge wurden zwischen 2019 und 2021 während meiner Arbeit als Kurator beim „Duos Festival“ – einem Kooperationsprojekt zwischen polnischen und kenianischen Künstlern – gesammelt und mit Unterstützung des Forschungsstipendiums „Transkulturelle Perspektiven in Kunst und Kunstvermittlung“ realisiert.

Ich möchte diese Komposition, die das komplexe Klangökosystem von Kilifi Creek repräsentiert, mit dem komplexen Ökosystem von Lübbenau/Spreewald vermischen.

Kompozycja nagrań terenowych zrealizowana na wybrzeżu Kenii w okolicach miasta Kilifi. Teren położony bardzo blisko równika, na Oceanie Indyjskim. Wszystkie dźwięki zostały zebrane w latach 2019-2021, kiedy pracowałem jako kurator przy „Duos Festival” – projekcie współpracy artystów z Polski i Kenii, realizowanym przy wsparciu grantu badawczego „Transkulturowe perspektywy w sztuce i edukacji artystycznej”.

Chciałbym połączyć tę kompozycję, która reprezentuje złożony ekosystem dźwiękowy Kilifi Creek ze złożonym ekosystemem Lübbenau/ Spreewald.
