Enter into a world of ancient Gods and epic battles inspired by Homer’s classic works. A modern reinvention of an ageless tale, set across the expanse of the beautiful Yorkshire Coast. The first episode - ‘The Gathering Storm’ tells of how the Trojan wars began, an introduces many of the major characters in our tale.

This is the single play version, with all chapters connected for you to enjoy while visiting Staxton and Flixton. Please be aware of weather conditions if outdoors, and pay attention to local guidance when using paths and roadsides.

This audio story features the voices of storytellers and performers from across the region, and original works by composers from the Yorkshire Coast.

Immerse yourself in the reimagined world of ancient Gods and heroic warriors from Homer's classic tales with geolocation sound trails, stories, and interactive soundscapes created as part of 'The Odyssey - An Epic Adventure on the Yorkshire Coast'. These are part of a wide ranging community engagement project along the length of the Yorkshire Coast, and are written to run alongside a number of live events and exhibitions as part of this project.
