Sea Songs Soundwalk Scarborough

room 7 ECHOES

A soundwalk created for the Wild Eye project by sound artist Rob Mackay in collaboration with students at Scarborough 6th Form College, Invisible Dust and CaVCA. Traverse the coast along Scarborough's South Bay and listen to the marine life we recorded off the coast of Scarborough in July 2021. Most of the recordings are underwater, including snapping shrimp, Bottlenose dolphins, and noise pollution from boats and jet skis. You can also hear grey seals from near Caton Bay.

This map includes recordings made by Rob Mackay and workshop participants: Rigana Generoso, Emily Ford, Alfie Johnson, Anna Fitspatrick, Alex Zammit, Jayden Dunwell, Acer Spencer, Thomas Broadbent, Sam Studholme, Olivia Lester, Fran Sutterby, Ruben Hughes, Vlad Todica, Moke Warburton.
