Experience Clonbur Woods in a new and magical way, where voices and music can be heard in unexpected places. Tap the download icon to put the audio onto your phone before you head to the start of the walk, which begins at the playground entrance to the woods, by Burkes' Garage in Clonbur. All the sounds are on the main path. When one sound finishes, keep walking to find the next one. The last one starts playing at a junction with the two picnic benches, just before Ballykine Castle (about 20-25 mins' walk in). Please listen in earphones for the full experience!

This Easter, go out for a different kind of egg hunt. Turn on your location services (GPS), put on your headphones, and head out to find three sonic 'eggs' hidden along the way. All the treasures within 500m of the starting point (the crane house), as the crow flies. Keep aware of traffic, observe social distancing, and enjoy. The Pailliún Aeir i bhFoirm Oscailte Inis Oírr (Inisheer Open Form Pavilion of Air) is a floating roof of sound across a section of the eastern end of the beach, triggered by GPS and accessed via a smartphone, headphones and the echoes.xyz app. Inspired by Polish architects Oskar & Zofia Hansen’s “Open Form” architectural concept (ca. 1959), this audiowork is one of 15 locations in 9 countries in the pan-European Open Form Pavilion of Air series, using sound and site-mapping to offer a playful renewal and reframing of public space as an essential place of engagement for the community. By walking through different zones near the eastern end of the beach, while using your mobile phone, the Echoes app and headphones, you become a participatory listener producing a composition in real-time. Your navigation creates a unique choreography via GPS, combining and changing sounds mapped along the site through the app. Hear this beachside location and its context become transformed by the sounds forming this floating acoustic architecture, revealing an immersive, profoundly spatial and physical experience.
