Here we are, our little Hoxton oasis – walk through the archway gate, see that sunken bit, there on the left and that bloke smoking like there is no tomorrow, that’s Maynard - Tony Maynard.

•OUTSIDE DOCTORS SURGERY

Ah here we are the surgery doors. Stand on the spot. See that woman on her phone, by the bike racks – that’s another Maynard -Josie.

We’re not finished yet! there’s someone else to meet just through the doors if the surgery is open, there a spot just to the left of doors. If its closed go and have a peep through the glass so you can get a good view. That’s Anne Marie, the receptionist, she been here longer than I can remember. Honorary east ender and font of indiscretion.

•ON THE BEND BY CITY OF LONDON ACADEMY & THE BRITANNIA

Nearly there. Do see that I love Hoxton statue? That’s the work of the next person you’re going to meet. Monica Belo, proud Area Housing officer of Hackney Council. Tireless campaigner for the residents of Hoxton. Look to your left see the new Britannia Leisure Centre and across the street the new secondary academy she’d have had a part to play in all that. She’s off to give a new proud resident of the area keys to their new flat. Let’s catch her before she leaves the office.

•AT THE FOOT OF THE ANTHOLOGY BLOCKS.

Look up, see those two towers, some of the newest additions to the Hoxton skyline, Microbiology, luxury homes with spectacular views. The website says - Spacious apartments designed with the bedrooms and living areas set on the outer perimeter to maximize incoming sunlight through wraparound private balconies with breath-taking panoramic views over the capital. You get the drift. Let’s meet one of the newest residences to the tower Shanita Wilson, you’ll meet her husband in a bit.

•FALAFEL VAN EL'TELS IN ST. JOHNS CHURCH YARD.

Turn in to the church yard on the left. See that little silver van, the best falafel in Hoxton. That’s Okhan over there, the owner of this enterprise being filmed by his cousin.

•CORNER OF HOXTON STREET & CRONDALL STREET OPPOSITE RAPSA & NEW COFFEE SHOP

Here we are, back on Hoxton Street. Look left, there’s the guy with the falafels in his bag. That’s Denton – Shanita’s husband. Looks like he went out for a coffee. Let’s wait for him to come out of Rapsa... Must be on his way back to the flat.

• OUTSIDE CANE & WHIPPET

Let’s cross Crondall street and walk back up Hoxton street towards the Hall and visit one of Hoxton’s less successful entrepreneurs, Zachary. It’s only a few shops down.

• OUTSIDE PAULA'S CAFE

Let’s leave Zach to make that sale. Keep walking towards the Hall. Just a few shops down to Mr Bhatur’s Café – he’s Okhan’s dad. There has been a power cut and he’s not a happy man.

• OUTSIDE HOXTON HALL

Let’s get going before he puts us to work too. The power cut has affected lots of people plans. Cross the street to Hoxton Hall. Careful this isn’t a formal crossing, and I don’t want to be held responsible for anyone getting knocked down. The is Ella another Maynard arriving at the door of Hoxton Hall to pick up the youngest Maynard’s. Let’ have a little listen...
