Kajsa Lindgren – Macrocosm

Macrocosm (2022) är ett flerkanaligt, vokalt verk ursprungligen uruppfört av Audiorama. Med ljudmaterial bestående av inspelningar av sin egen röst om totalt åtta stämmor, noggrant inspelade var för sig och bearbetade individuellt, är tanken att skapa en slags hyper-realistisk, omslutande kör som utforskar olika grader av igenkänning, närhet och avstånd. Förändringar av klang, textur och rumslighet står i fokus och rösterna har bearbetats primärt med granular syntes, frekvensfokuserade verktyg, spatialt distribuerade med Ambisonics.

Kajsa Lindgren (f. 1990) är en svensk kompositör som huvudsakligen arbetar med ljudkällor från fältinspelningar och röst. Hon utforskar olika sätt att närma sig, spela in och framföra dem på genom bl a rumslig, flerkanalig distribution såväl som inom mer traditionella format. Hennes arbete inkluderar elektroakustiska kompositioner och ljudinstallationer, samt kompositioner för akustiska traditionella instrument. https://kajsalindgren.com/

Macrocosm (2022) is a multi-channel, vocal work originally premiered by Audiorama. With material consisting of recordings of her own voice for a total of eight bars, carefully recorded separately and processed individually, the idea is to create a kind of hyper-realistic, immersive choir that explores different degrees of recognition, intimacy and distance. Changes in timbre, texture and spatiality are in focus and the voices have been processed primarily through granular synthesis, frequency-focused tools, spatially distributed with Ambisonics.

Kajsa Lindgren (b. 1990) is a Swedish composer, sound-artist and sound designer mainly working with field recordings and voice. Her work often explores different ways to approach, record and perform them through spatial, multichannel distribution as well as within more traditional formats.
