Luopu Park is the largest and longest park in Luoyang. It located on both sides of Luo River. It runs through many parts of the city. Luopu is free for people all around years. There are many different types of playgrounds. People can use them freely for different activities. You can feel the change of seasons here. Feel the state of people's activities in nature. The sounds of human activity in nature are very interesting. Let's experience this park together.

Luopu Park

The sound space I chosen is Luopu Park. It is the largest park in Luoyang which is around both side of Luo river.I chose a part of the park to record the sounds.

Vending Machine

There is a vending machine near the Ping-pong field. When people use it to buy drinks, it makes a sound.

There are about 16 ping-pong tables. People bring themselves bats to play together.

Basketball court

There are two complete courts. There will be different people to play with. Even people who don't know each other can become friends through playing basketball.

Watering device

There are some watering devices working. By turning the machine, the water can cover more ground.

Walk along the river and the water is very loud. There are also people sitting nearby fishing.

When the park is replaced by a several apartment building, how will the sounds that people hear change? The sound of the wind blowing through the leaves, the strange chirping of different kinds of birds, the laughter and chatting of people when they are hanging around in the park, the pleasant, warm sounds of nature will become the cold, regular mechanical sounds of appliances operating.
