I wish you a pleasant walk, Alexander info about this work: T H E W H A L E S O N G P R O J E C T THE SONIC AGENCY OF AN ARCHITECTURE De Fabriek Eindhoven is one of the oldest art initiatives in the Netherlands. It is situated in a former bookbinding factory with two main floors. A vast cellar with a series of concrete columns and a great hall with a vaulted ceiling. It's particular sound qualities and the sounds the building creates by itself are often topic of conversation during exhibitions and events at de Fabriek. Alexander Johannes Heil sees the building as a huge instrument with it's own agency. From field recordings he took at de Fabriek during September and October 2022, he created a geo-located spatial composition wich stretches out towards the city of Eindhoven. Like in a cubist painting the spectator will experience the sound objects scattered, simultaneously, and overlapping in time and space while approaching the building.

A public workshop for the Diagrams of Power / Onomatopee 168 exhbition, hosted by Onomatopee Projects, Onomatopee Footnotes and Public Visualization Lab The world is watching Stratumseind as it has become an experiment in smart-city technology and public space. It is a bustling nightlife arena for citizens and visitors alike to collide, mingle and attach fond memories to place. Yet, its reputation for bar-fights has prompted an installing of crowd-sensors, cameras, and microphones in lamp-posts to detect aggressive behaviour. Join us on a night audio-tour created with local university students about their personal memories of Stratum, and their feelings about the potential and risks of sensor surveillance in the city. The tour is an "algorithmic walk", where our route is guided by randomized instructions, to "scramble" the usual data fed to the lamp posts. On the tour, we will engage in conversation about our own experiences in Stratum, and leave stories behind with chalk along our route. The audio tour and pictures of the night-walk will be featured at Diagrams of Power/ Onomatopee 168 at Onomatopee Projects. Together, we hope to spark dialogue around what Stratum means to citizens, and the vision of city: how efficiency and safety can be negotiated with public space for difference, life and dissent. The Public Visualization Lab is based in OCAD University, Toronto Canada. We are a design and art research lab that employs visualization, curation, and storytelling as a critical media practice. We work alongside communities to represent social and environmental concerns through use of data, interaction and media technologies. Audio spooktocht door het Wasven

Naar aanleiding van het Lucas Gassel jaar is deze 3D audiotour ontwikkeld. Deze bijzondere drie dimensionale audio ervaring u door het Helmond van Lucas Gassel. Naast de stem van Lucas Gassel (François van der Zanden) hoort u ook 3D geluidseffecten. Deze combinatie geeft de luisteraar het idee alsof Lucas Gassel je op een wandeling meeneemt door zijn Helmond van de 16de eeuw. Deze 3D audiotour is ontwikkeld door Beam It Up in samenwerking met Heemkundekring Helmont en stadsarcheoloog Theo de Jong. Sounddesigner Ricky van Broekhoven heeft drie dimensionale geluidsopnames gemaakt en de historische soundscapes ontwikkeld. Het verhaal is geschreven door schrijver Hans van de Laarschot en de tekst is bewerkt door Rik Janssen. Deze audiotour is mogelijk gemaakt door Stichting Lucas Gassel.

Landbouwakker waar mais wordt verbouwd. Maïs is een graan afkomstig uit Midden-Amerika en behoort tot de grassenfamilie. De plant werd al ongeveer tienduizend jaar geleden gedomesticeerd door de inheemse volkeren van zuidelijk Mexico. Maïs is een directe domesticatie van de ondersoort Zea mays subsp. parviglumis. Maïs is een eenhuizige plant. De mannelijke bloeiwijze (de pluim) zit aan de top van de stengel en draagt de helmknoppen, de vrouwelijke bloeiwijze (de kolf) bevindt zich aan de bladoksels en bestaat uit een spil met daaromheen een aantal rijen vruchtbeginsels waaruit de korrels ontstaan. Het stuifmeel wordt via de wind meegevoerd naar andere maïsplanten, waar bevruchting plaatsvindt in afzonderlijke korrels. Maïs is in veel delen van de wereld een onderdeel van het basisvoedsel. Van al het maïs wordt maar weinig rechtstreeks door de mens geconsumeerd: het meeste wordt gebruikt voor de productie van veevoer, bio-ethanol en bepaalde maïsproducten, zoals maïszetmeel en glucosestroop.
