SONO-SORO [WALKS] is a collaborative and decentralized soundwalk database that brings together the audio recordings of female-identifying, two-spirit, non-binary and trans individuals about their experience of walking in urban space at night. This digital database of nocturnal walks locates intersectional feminist agencies from cities around the world.

This geolocated soundwalk is part of a series of In situ sonic practices that explore the possibilities of amphibious corporality and mimetic language within a listen-word-world making. Water makes objects slippery and wet, but what about subjects?. In terms of having a different perspective on environmental dialectics, the narratives and memories of water allow us to sonically explore the interconnection of local ecologies through mimetical human-nature dynamics. More than just an imaginary exercise, this soundwalk considers the notion of fiction as key to embracing different correlations between the singular and the common, the body and the unknown, the audible and its meaning. website: www.losotres.net/w_e_t_dialectics.html

HOW TO WALK THIS SOUND WALK: 1. Download the Walk beforehand! (oval button with indication of MB next to the 'STREAM WALK' button above this text) Even if you have a very good mobile data contract, the most uninterrupted experience is ensured when the sound walk is already downloaded to your Echoes app. 2. Activate the 'Autoplay' function! When you click 'STREAM WALK' you access the walk. You will enter a map screen and at the top right hand is a 'hamburger menu' (the three horizontal stripes)! Click there and you will be presented with the 'Autoplay' option at exact that position on your screen. 3. Use so-called 'open headphones'! Open headphones have the advantage that you can hear outside noises more easily and therefore offer better environmental awareness. The piece will redirect your attention and alter your experience of the place and your surroundings. The result is a new, or rather a renewed perception of the place through an augmented acoustic environment. Willkommen beim Stadtrundgang „Spuren des Hasses - Berlin Mitte“. Dieser Audiowalk beschäftigt sich mit historischen und gegenwärtigen Vorfällen von israelbezogenem Antisemitismus in Berlin. Im Bezirk Mitte führt er exemplarisch an neun Orte, an denen sich solche Vorfälle ereignet haben. Der Rundgang basiert auf der interaktiven Karte des Projekts „Spuren des Hasses“, die von democ entwickelt wurde. Die Karte erfasst beispielhaft Fälle von israelbezogenem Antisemitismus in Berlin seit den 1950er-Jahren. Die für diesen Soundwalk ausgewählten Vorfälle haben sich zwischen 1978 und 2025 ereignet.
