Peter Dawson recounts his time working the the Pattern Office (now the Mess Deck) and the deep collaborations and partnerships with the Founders in the Smithery and Foundry on Brunel Way.
The job of the Pattern Maker was to carve and shape wood to create moulds which were then taken to the Foundry and used to cast custom metal parts, signs, or any unique shape required.
