Once a monastery, this building has a long and tough history through the centuries. Before being turned into a luxury hotel, it was a shelter for refugees in world wars and a cholera hospital. Since 2005, the building unites modern rooms and a restaurant with historical architecture and exceptional art exhibitions.

In this 45-minutes tour, we will present you to 5 emblematic buildings in Maastricht that were constructed as churches and monasteries. You'll get to know the stories of their constructions, the repurposes they had throughout the years and what are they used for nowadays. Put on comfortable clothes and sneakers, remember to bring your umbrella (it's the Netherlands) and come with us!
