1976, Atlier Ernst & Ursula Hiestand The iconic stop information system of Zurich's public transport operator VBZ was designed in 1976 by the Zurich-based graphic design studio Ernst + Ursula Hiestand. To this day, it defines the visual identity of public transportation in Zurich. At the heart of the system is the distinctive tubular frame holding modular panels, which impress through their clear structure, precise typography, and consistent color coding.
