Departing Newark

Tuesday, 4/23/19 at 4:45 PM: As train pulls closer to stop, hum of engine gets louder. Train stops and produces a hissing exhale of air from brakes. Humming motor dominates soundscape. Then, as I board the train the hum softens. There is a pat-pat-pat-pat of steps going up stays. Passing conversation between a man and woman: Man: "I saw that sign you were talking about." Woman: "Yeah." End clip.
