Inhabits lake islands, shores, prefers deep, clean lakes. Biology. Often spends the day under collapsed shores, more active during the night and early in the morning. Lives in small groups. Seldom mates because of biological characteristics, so their numbers are rapidly dwindling. The offspring grow slowly. Feeds on the eggs of other creatures, which they steal from nests. Shy. Abundance. Unabundant everywhere. Protection. Prohibiting keeping them as home pets. Level of dangerousness: 4. Sometime bites, though not venomous.
