Layed on an old cracked Belfast building, rides the Rabbits of the Rathlin Islands. A frame borders the image, but this does not stop the escape of these furry critters. Their low detail and angular appearance begs for further appreciation, to look for longer, and think of what you're truly seeing. Its design is intriguing but rough and slightly retro. With perhaps the low detail and the framing of the piece as a reference to its more digitally inspired roots.
Based upon one of the rarer breeds of rabbit, this artwork done by Annatomix is an artist who has had fascination for the arts since she was young. From the 2008 recession she pivoted in her job and in 2014 was self employed as an artist.
The rabbits themselves are unique, possessing a golden hue which are present on the Rathlin islands.
Her work is often to her own admission compared to origami as the designs are typically more angular. However her real inspiration more often comes from geometric designs of low polygon models seen in older video games.
