My Sound System was created upon the idea of where I felt 'most at home'. To me, this is my local beach in Gorleston. Because I live in a coastal area I have always associated the sounds and pictures of water and the sea to home, the sound of waves crashing makes me feel more relaxed and free. I wanted to contrast this mood against a more upbeat and energetic tone that I've created through audio from arcades as well as incorporating music into my sound system that I felt appealed to the location where it takes place. Here I have included The Darkness song 'Heart Explodes' as the lyrics subtly refer to being on the East Coast. This is also a fond memory to me as theirs was the last concert I went to at the UEA in Norwich before the pandemic. Through these use of ups and downs in my Sound Systems I hope my audience can understand my personality as something non consistent as well as relating it to the world around us which consists of both slow and fast moments.
