This piece is painted on a former linen mill in which nothing grew. Until the artist livened up the building with an image exploding with colour. A true image of summer of a young woman surrounded by Flax flowers. A flower that can survive in frost but needs intense amounts of sunlight to truly grow to its fullest.
This piece brings new life to a depalidated place in need of love and serves to create a sense of freshness and new beginnings. As flux flowers are needed to create linen, it is perhaps a cry to restart the linen buisness.
According to the artists twitter account, the piece was actually sponsored by LinenQuarterBID and was a part of a graffiti event called HTN23. And as an artists note, they ask you to stand in front of it, as I'm sure you can agree, photos simply do not do this piece justice. It's crisp colours and delicate details are something to behold.
