Carillon

1 sound

The Burton Memorial Tower, located on Ingalls Mall of the University of Michigan is one of the most recognizable soundmarks on campus. The Charles Baird Carillon consists of 53 bronze bells that sit at the top of the tower. The largest of the bells strikes the hour, while all bells are used to play a short tune every 15 minutes and perform a concert everyday at noon that runs for approximately 30 minutes. The bells are also open from 5 to 7pm during practice hours for students and staff of the University of Michigan.
