Þúfa

Þúfa is a green hillock topped by a wooden house. It is an artwork by Ólöf Nordal, created in 2013 to serve as a bridge between the country’s modern capital and its surrounding wilderness. The name means small mountain in Icelandic. The house on top is molded after a drying fish, representing the importance of the fishing industry for the country.
