Goddess Ooilith

OOILITH is an immortal warrior/builder goddess who has mastery over concrete. She has chosen to help mankind construct wonderful buildings and particularly lends a hand rebuilding after disasters (for example, the bombings of Coventry and Birmingham). Ooilith is an artist at heart and when she isn’t busy rebuilding damaged places, she enjoys making concrete sculptures. You can see her works all around the world. She wishes she had more time for her art. Like all artists, her style has changed over time. Here are some of the buildings she has fashioned down the centuries: 2500 BC - The Pyramids of Giza 2000 BC - The Labyrinth of Knossos 27 BC The Pantheon, Rome 1000 AD - The Pyramid of the Magician at Uxmal 1759 - Smeaton’s Tower, Cornwall 1914 - The Panama Canal 1920’s - Christ the Redeemer, Rio de Janeiro 1920’s - Unite d’habitation, Marseille/Berlin 1935 - Hoover Dam, Las Vegas 1940’s - The Pentagon, Washington D.C. 1964 - Coventry Ring Road 1966 - Three Tuns Mural, Coventry 1967 - The Motherland Calls, Volgograd, Russia 1969 - Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, Louisiana 1973 - The Britannia Hotel 1989 - The Church of Light, Japan 2009 - Burj Khalifa, Dubai
