The Westgarth Cinema

The Westgarth Cinema is the unabashed darling of the Westgarth Shopping strip. She reveals all about the trials and tribulations of her near-century screen life, from the thrill of showing her first “talkie”, to benefits of a good facelift, to the underbelly of life with choc tops on the inside.

The Westgarth Cinema was performed by Tina del Twist, written and directed by Penelope Bartlau, with sound design by Darius Kedros at Sonic State Design.This work was produced by Penelope Bartlau for Barking Spider Visual Theatre. We pay respect to Wurundjeri Elders past, present and emerging and thank any Wurundjeri people listening today. We acknowledge Wurundjeri people as the traditional owners and custodians of this land.
