The Point Cartwright nature reserve encompasses an area of five hectares of open space. In this space dogs are permitted to be off leash, making this a popular destination on the coast to bring your dog for a play. This reserve is also a common place for people to hold weddings. Point Cartwright overlooks the mooloolah river and has a commanding view of the sunshine coast, particularly Alexandra Headland.
