Status. 4 category. A rare, not sufficiently researched species. Habitat. Prevalent in the entire territory, cities. Biotope. Old parks, avenues, settlement overgrowths, cemeteries. Inhabit house attics, towers, utility rooms. Biology. Sedentary. Can spend up to a few years in the same place. Avoids light. Their mating calls can be heard during the night. From the end of April to the start of May they lay 4-8 grey in colour eggs. Incubate for about 28 days. Hatchlings spend 29-35 days in the nest. Feed on animals. Have hemotoxic venom in their upper fangs. Swallows their prey alive. Abundance. Because of episodical observation and secrecy, the abundance of the species in the territory is unknown. Separate couples are capable of nesting. Protection. The preservation of old hollow trees in villages and towns. Installation of transitive boxes in old house attics and farm houses. Level of dangerousness: 6. Approaching this creature is unadvised.
