Newest house on Frye Street (1929) George Coombs originally designed a house in 1891, but the house was eventually built in a different style (Tudor revival) by a different, unknown architect. Tudor revival: inspired by English Tudor architecture and made popular 1890s-1930s. After the house changed hands a few times, Bates purchased the property in 1970. The ground floor is home to WRBC, the College’s student-operated radio station. Inside are two studios, an office, and an extensive music collection The third and final house location, the Ronj, is down to your right.
