This picture was taken in 1891: flooding seems to be getting more frequent -- though recent floods have not been bigger than this one. A Flood Protection Scheme is now being planned, and could be completed in five years or so. With luck, the Scheme will keep Musselburgh dry for 50 or 100 years!
