The longest lasting Five Points venue, The Elbow Room opened in 1984 and operated until 2001. The Strokes, Run-DMC, Hank Williams III, and Ratt were among the many national touring acts that appeared here.
Note: as much as we’d love to include music from this era in the Soundcrawl, concerns related to copyright restrictions and a limited budget prevent us from doing so. We do encourage you to seek out the artists discussed in these podcasts, as even many of the lesser-known artists currently have music available for streaming.
