Female hunts Aglais urticae, Pseudopostega auritella, Opostega salaciella, Tischeria dodonaea, Coptotriche angusticollella, Lampronia corticella and Polyommatus coridon Poda, which they paralyse with a stinger and bring to burrows. The male feeds on its prey for a week. Abundance. Nearing extinction due to dune forestation. Protection. In order to preserve the species, biotopes must be preserved. Level of dangerousness: 2. Presumed to be not dangerous.
