Originally a boxcar, it was converted into a Cupola Style Caboose in 1940 and retired in 1950. It is one of only a few remaining wood exterior siding railroad cars in existence today. It is 14 feet tall, 10 feet wide, 45 feet long, and weighs 20 tons! The Cannery Row Caboose is only visible from the Monterey Bay Coastal Trail.
