Grotta is a lighthouse located on the tip of Seltjarnarnes Peninsula, in a place that was declared a nature reserve in 1974. The first lighthouse was built in 1897, whilst the standing one dates back to 1947. It is a great location to relax, walk around, and do some bird-watching in the summer or catch the northern lights in the winter. Be aware of the fact that the lighthouse is accessible only during low tide. It is still visible from distance if you go there during high tide.
