COMES THE WATER

1 sound

Sun on snow, Gentle glow, Softening the crystal top. Deeper down, Edges round, Trickling 'long the bottom drop.

Glacial time quickens to flow, Seeping from beneath the snow, Comes the water Comes the water Beware below...

'Round the bend, In the sediment, Swirling play the rivulets. Murky song There and gone, Rushing down in Swirling jets.

Down into the barren valleys, Sweeps along the reeds and dallies In another stream, alone. Crashing 'round the corner, digging, Pools and setting stone to singing, Moved by thund'rous wave down slope...

Comes the water Comes the water To a river grown.

Sun on stream, Hot and gleaming, Thirsty earth undoes its haste. From the rush To the hush Of a creek now stilled and chase.
