Giunti Odeon

A beautiful place combines the functions of a bookstore and a cinema. It screens films every night, including internationally famous art films and the latest films (with Italian subtitle). Some interesting events are also held here — once I brought a friend from London who is also into film and wants to experience watch a film here, but at that day a pasta making workshop was held here. So we just spent a whole afternoon to watch how to make good tomato source of pasta. This place carries a lot of exciting memories of mine in Florence, like watching In the mood for love without familiar language and subtitle, finding original comic of a film that I studied from my freshman media studies class. As a film lover, it does provides me a lot of small unexpected surprises and an immersing space that blends film and literature in this city. — Hanjin Tian
