Promenade (2008) is a stereo acousmatic work, commissioned by CRiSAP (Creative Research into Sound Arts Practice). It is based on a recording made in the promenade of Alghero, in Sardinia and makes use of the déjà vu software program developed by Ollie Bown, Michael Casey and Christophe Rhodes. The program facilitated the organisation of collections of sound fragments into groups; sections were constructed and developed by focusing on these similarity groups. The piece was later reworked and became part of a larger composition.
Aki Pasoulas is an electroacoustic composer, Senior Lecturer and the Director of MAAST at UoK.
