Status. 1 category. Very rare, extinction nearing species. Habitat. Singular places of finding are known in Western territories. Biotope. Mature, light oak woods near drinking water pools. Biology. The creatures fly between the months of April and July. Found during twilight near rivers. Longevous. The female breeds barely a few offspring during her lifetime, always with the same partner. Reaches puberty at 21 years of age. Feeds on water plants, gathered while wading in shallow places of water pools such as rivers or lakes. Particularly calm and shy creatures, often frightened by hunting or mushroom gathering humans. Avoid contact with other animal species. Abundance. Diminishing in numbers at a significant rate throughout the territory. Main reason for lack of abundance – disturbance, destruction of biotopes, and biological characteristics, which prevent the species of having more offspring. Protection. Preservation of biotopes, artificial breeding. Level of dangerousness: 1. Not dangerous.
