Sonic Explorations: A Soundwalk Through the Hayes Family Sculpture Park
Experience the Hayes Family Sculpture Park in a new way through this immersive soundwalk featuring 16 original electronic music compositions from students in Professor David Bird’s Introduction to Electronic Music and Music Production class. Each piece was crafted to complement a specific sculpture, translating its form, materials, and themes into sound. The pieces explore various musical genres and blend environmental recordings, electronic textures, and instrumental elements to create an inspiring and contemplative journey through the park.
This soundwalk uses a location-based mobile app to trigger music as you approach each sculpture. To experience the project, scan the QR code to download the Echoes app, put on your headphones, and explore the park.
