Detach: Memories of Queens Park
Have you ever walked through an area and wondered how many memories have been shared there? Have you revisited places that are intertwined with memories that you made?
Detach aims to walk the user through areas of Queens Park that have a personal attachment to me. Each Users are encouraged to sit down for a moment, enjoy the surroundings and use their imagination to visualise the area from my perspective.
I have shared a lot of memories in Queens Park with those closest to me. Though a string of memories and emotions floods my mind above others. That which haunts us all, love. This piece speaks to the desire to relive our favourite memories, yet the knowledge that we cannot. The realisation that we perhaps need to detach ourselves from these memories we hold so tightly onto.
