PARADESA. In situ, online, interactive, sound installation with ceramic elements, variable dimensions, Athens 2023. Lea Petrou researches and collects calls, chirps and sounds of nightingales based on the ideal wetland living conditions. She maps the Chalandri stream through an in situ, online, interactive, archival, sound installation, aiming to restore the unique sound of nightingales back to the stream. Moving along the ravine using mobile phones and GPS trackers, Rema Incognita visitors activate both the online sounds and their sense of auditory perception. Ceramic, cartographic elements based on old maps of the area, placed in selected parts of the outdoor theater space, accompany the sounds of nightingales. This piece has no commercial use. Χαρτογραφεί τη ρεματιά μέσω μιας in situ, online, διαδραστικής, αρχειακής, ηχητικής εγκατάστασης, με στόχο να επαναφέρει το μοναδικό ήχο των αηδονιών στο ρέμα. A site specific, interactive, online, archival sound installation, dimensions variable, by Lea Petrou. The view of Synoikismos, a refugee settlement in Chalandri's since 1933, has gradually been re-shaped due to the rapid population growth that results in the intense urban development of the area. The visual artist Lea Petrou researched and collected bird calls, chants and non-vocal bird sounds, based on the ideal bird living conditions in a wetland such as the creek at the height of the settlement, before being boxed under the ground. She invites Sébastien Seixas to a conversation while setting up an interactive, online sound archival installation in relation to various historical and architectural elements of the neighborhood. Some sounds are triggered by the participants walking around specific locations using their mobile phones. The final sound compositions identified depend on the visitors’ movements around the neighborhood, yet every acoustic experience is personalized and unique. Other sounds are recognized in less-than-expected locations in order to trigger the viewers' perceptions of sound, a procedure that concerns both artists. This piece has no commercial use. Η φυσιογνωμία της γειτονιάς του Συνοικισμού του Χαλανδρίου, που αποτελεί τον 2ο προσφυγικό συνοικισμό και χρονολογείται από το 1933, βρίσκεται σε σταδιακή διαμόρφωση λόγω της ραγδαίας πληθυσμιακής αύξησης που συνεπάγεται την έντονη πολεοδομική ανάπτυξη του αστικού χώρου. Η εικαστικός Λία Πέτρου έχει ερευνήσει και συλλέξει καλέσματα, κελαηδήματα και μη φωνητικούς ήχους πουλιών της ευρύτερης περιοχής, με βάση την ιδανική συνθήκη διαβίωσης πτηνών σε έναν υδροβιότοπο όπως ήταν η ρεματιά στο ύψος του συνοικισμού, πριν εγκιβωτιστεί. Προσκαλεί τον Sébastien Seixas σε μια συνομιλία με σκοπό τη δημιουργία μιας διαδραστικής, online, ηχητικής αρχειακής εγκατάστασης σε διάφορα σημεία της γειτονιάς του συνοικισμού. Κάποιοι ήχοι ενεργοποιούνται από την κίνηση των περαστικών σε τοποθεσίες όπου επίκειται το άκουσμα των πουλιών, με χρήση κινητού.
