There is a tree outside your window. It has been there for as long as you can remember. You don't remember the last time you noticed it. It's always there. Blowing in the wind, soaking up the sun, standing tall & proud in the rain & snow. This tree, your tree, weathers all seasons. Looking out your window you notice the tree as if seeing it for the first time. In a very real way this is the first time you've noticed it. The rough yet smooth nature of the bark. It's simple beauty, its aged wisdom, the shelter it provides to the squirrels and the birds. As the sun begins to set for the day the light is perfect for you to see this tree as it is. You see your tree, proud and strong. Your constant companion right there just outside your window.

In the current socio-political climate we are living in today, there is a lot of hate and anger between people. COVID in particular, and your stance on these issues has become extremely polarizing and toxic for many. People are being pitted against each other. That is not a world I want to live in. This project is to show that no matter your beliefs, whether that be political, religious, lifestyle, etc. that we can coexist peacefully and respect a difference of opinion. That is why we live in America, a free country that allows each individual to have their own opinions and beliefs.
