A GPS-triggered Audio Trail in Bedford Town Centre, telling stories by local creatives inspired by town heritage & residents’ memories of food & drink. We have tried to place echoes near benches or areas that are comfortable to be in. Throughout 2024, Tastes Like Home has built up a bank of local stories uncovered through archival research & interviews. Led by Radhika Aggarwal & Alex Levene, Bedford-based creatives have developed, written & recorded stories uncovering delicious memories of food & drink ingrained in the taste buds of Bedford & its residents. We are delighted to share them with you here & hope you enjoy the trail. To do the trail in one helping, allow 90 minutes to gently meander round the pins. Alternatively, take in a few bites when you have time & complete the trail in multiple visits. I loved bringing that part of Bedford's history back to life, and creating a story that hopefully will take people back to that era."
