Alberton: A History Walk of Our Neighbourhood

room 24 ECHOES

Location: Adelaide, South Australia, Australia

Our neighbourhood, Alberton in South Australia, has a long and rich history embedded in its soil, squares, streets, buildings and landmarks. This self-guided tour unlocks new perspectives of Alberton's past and present by layering historical accounts and records with the memories and stories of those that have called this beautiful suburb home.

In the future, we hope to add more places and stories to the walk. If you are or know someone with a story to share, please get in touch with us at historyproject.alberton@gmail.com.

If you enjoy this walk, why not share it with your friends? # #sahistoryfest # #welovealberton # #albertonhistory # #thisismyneighbourhood

Kid's Country

Kid's Country

Children from Beeac Primary School in regional Victoria, Australia talk about their surrounds and environment. The stories that you are about to hear are from the beautiful lakes country, home of the Brolga, in the south west of regional Victoria. This country is the traditional home of the Gulidjan and Gadubanud peoples, the traditional custodians of the Colac Otway region. We recognise their long history on this land & the care they gave to this land for thousands of years. We would like to acknowledge the Elders, Past, present and emerging and thank any Gulidjan and Gadubanud people listening.
