Five is my artistic sound interpretation of Alan Dickson's work "Five Sculptures on Topological Themes." These beautiful, smooth sculptures were designed to have a continual surface, and therefore this piece was created around the idea of continuity. The pre-recorded flute piece repeats over and over again with different reiterations based on live flute which influenced how the playback would be altered. This piece is composed for a trio, pre-recorded flute, live flute and modular synthesizer.
