Even after a couple years of returning to college in person, it never ceases to amaze me what being in good company can do for a person. As an assignment for class we were trying to rewire children’s toys to make new sounds. Unfortunately we didn’t have the most luck with what we were using, but I took clips from this experience of attempted distortion and created my own. Through much trial and error we found more ways to distort the programed sounds and create sounds of our own. To me it reflected my own journey through this class. I had no idea how to use an audio editor before this class and by the end I have managed to create something completely new using my own audio recordings. It’s very humbling to be a part of this, and I thank you for taking the time to listen.
