T- Dead Hedges and Wrens

Alongside the path, you might see 'dead hedges'. These are long stacks of tree cuttings, left over from forestry operations. They make great nesting habitat for small birds like robins and wrens. The wren is a small bird with a big voice. Listen out for the distinctive trill in the midst of their loud song.
