Stop 8: The Dee in Flood

1 sound

The River Dee rises at Braeriach at 1220m and flows for about 90 miles to the North Sea at Aberdeen. The entire length of the Dee is a Special Area of Conservation, famous for the salmon, otters and fresh water pearl mussels. The river has inspired many poets and songwriters, especially at times of flood.
