Betweenness: text score walk
Betweenness is a site-specific composition set within an immersive geolocated sound world; a speculative journey exploring the wild soundscapes and sonic signatures of past ecosystems prompting the consideration of our current, past and future ecologies within the familiar areas we live through collective listening.
The piece is experienced as an audio walk accompanied by a text score booklet which leads you along the route through the University of Huddersfield campus.
Listen and interact with species that once inhabited the landscape through participatory text score prompts– as echoes of former landscapes and habitats come alive through spatialised sound.
Start: Entrance to the Richard Steinitz, the University of Huddersfield.
Headphones required.
To listen and interact with Betweenness sound walk, we recommend you download prior to the walk rather than stream - as this may use data and you may be charged.
Choose 'audio quality professional' for the best listening experience.
The walk is triggered by your location and physical movements, your phone will use its GPS to locate where you are and trigger the audio when you are within each blue sound zone along the route.
