I remember a city in my home state, where there were only one or two or three people over the age of 50. Sure there were some silver squirrels around, but they still seemed to live in their ivory towers on the golf courses and at the sawmills, reading the real estate section of the newspaper.

But within that same city, there was a small, reliable community of non-retired seniors. At least I thought there were. I never met any of them. And I’m pretty sure they didn’t know each other either. Why would they?
