Chapter 02: Cities and Memory 05

I remember a city populated only by men . Large and fat, they walked or rode on four legs while I trotted on two. They walked silently in droves past the hospital’s art studio, their eyes scanning us, on their way to the old buildings that housed restaurants where they would crowd outside to gape at the line of women with dragons painted across their stomachs.

Behind us, men scurried around as if the Roman Coliseum had a food stand for people to wait outside of.

And I didn’t belong.

This happened when I was a child, a young girl, among a multitude of male and female ponies who didn’t even know that they weren’t born with two heads, instead of that they were mislabeled as female in the wrong uteruses.
