Common Spotted Orchids and Pyramidal Orchids grow here. Look out for their pink and white flower spikes in June, July and August. Orchids are part of the largest and most highly evolved family of flowering plants on earth. They are usually highly specialised to a specific habitat, with equally specialised relationships with pollinators, and fungi which live in the soil.
