Braniff Memorial Tower

This is the Braniff Memorial Tower, which is a primary landmark on UD’s campus. The Tower stands 188 feet tall - for reference, the Statue of Liberty is 151 feet tall without base). The Tower bells, called the Cowan Bells, were a gift to the University from the King Foundation in honor of the founders of the Core curriculum, Doctors Donald and Louise Cowan. The Tower is a meeting spot for everyone on campus, both as current students and as alumni years later.
