Recorded across bass and echo heavy voices in the form of 2 young Black men discussing, but anticipating love, the unknown, and the newness of being fathers. Laced with South Side Chicago house music and live Jazz in Peckham –– geographic parallels calinig and responding from opposite sides of the ocean. A recognition in knowing that basslines know no borders, only rhythm, only spirit, only love. I’m called to the sounds and figures that are constant reminders of both home and elsewhere. The bassline is my center.
